To showcase the unique expertise of future art teachers as educational designers, the National Institute for Cultural Education and Amateur Arts (LKCA), the National Consultation for Art Teacher Training (KVDO), and the Arts Education Research Group of the Amsterdam University of the Arts have organised this educational design award. This award recognises the most innovative or thought-provoking art educational design created by upcoming art teachers.

Today’s educational landscape requires teachers who are not only capable of teaching but also able to co-develop and shape education from a personal vision. This is especially true for arts education, a dynamic field marked by constantly evolving artistic expressions, unpredictable creators, and shifting perspectives.
