I'm Priviliged! It's a once in a life time opportunity to get so many resources available at the end of your education. A lot of ‘injections’ so that you can get ‘pumped up’ when you start working. That - again - more is seen in me than I see in myself. Suddenly this is another door that flies open. All the energy I don't have to spend kicking doors open goes into furnishing the space that that door leads to.
I have noticed for a while that I’m constantly looking for different ways to express myself. Yes, I found out years ago that I am a theater maker by heart. But I also write and paint and I have an intense love for films, which also inspires my work. In addition to my graduation performance, which is still waiting to be performed, I research how I can translate my personal experiences and stories into something artistic.
In the Art & Society programme I want to give space to deep desires of writing and film. Giving space to the dark corners in my fascination, which I didn’t shine enough light on during my education. I hope the programme will challenge me to dig deeper. For now I find it hard to say where I am when I'm done. I secretly hope that I’m working on a short film at the end of the programme.
