The Culture Club
The Culture Club of the AHK is the meeting place for all students, teachers and researchers of the AHK academies. A place for dialogue at the intersection of art, technology and science within and outside the AHK with the motto: ‘start, share, show.’
For students
Do you want to connect with other students from other AHK academies or are you looking for a stage for your work? Then the AHK Culture Club is your place! Every month there is an extensive program. For example, during the monthly 'Club Night' you can present your work in a safe setting to fellow students or use the intimate 'Club Gallery', our own 'Student Art Space'. An AHK-wide study association is in preparation from within the Culture Club. More on that early next year.
"The Culture Club feels like the schoolyard of the AHK.You come there to meet, play and talk with the rest of the academies, outside the walls of your own classroom." - AHK student
Want to present your work or have an idea for a student event? Then send an email to cultureclub@ahk.nl and we will contact you!
For teachers & researchers

As a platform for dialogue and artistic and academic cross-pollination, the AHK Culture Club provides space for teachers and researchers from all AHK academies. Sharing knowledge, working together and interdisciplinary experimentation are central to this. For example, within the 'AHK Lectures' researchers share their work and insights, and AHK-wide urgent issues form the basis for the 'AHK Dialogues' held in the Culture Club. There are also regular 'Club Take Overs,' in which one AHK academy takes over the Culture Club for a short period in its entirety and deploys it for education and research.
"For the Weekend of Science, we organized the interactive lecture ‘The Art of Assignment’ with the AHK Culture Club.It was remarkable how much attention the Culture Club managed to generate for this, allowing me to take a full room of over 60 visitors from inside and outside the AHK into the fascinating world of artistic instructions, assignments and prompts." - Emiel Heijnen (Lecturer in Art Education)
Want to host your own workshop, public class or interactive lecture? Or do you have an idea for another education or research-related event to take place in the Culture Club? Then contact AHK Culture Club program leader Liza Vos at liza.vos@ahk.nl
