Are you a teacher at the Academy of Theatre and Dance, and are you interested to join our research group? You are warmly invited to write a letter of motivation, to be received by us ultimately on July 7th 2023.

The research that is done by the teacher-researchers in this research group focusses on questions around embodiment and the transmission of embodied knowledge within our academy, as well as in society at large. We are teachers who strive to deepen and revive our teaching practices through setting up our own (small) research projects, sharing, exploring and testing this with the rest of the group. You may be an experienced researcher, or may not have any experience with research at all yet, both are fine: it is the curiosity and the desire to share and reflect that matters.

Our group is English speaking and consists of around 13 teacher-researchers from across the ATD. We meet once a month on Wednesday afternoons 14.00-17.00 at DAS Research, based in the ATD building at Overhoeks 2. Your attendance at the meetings is paid.

The upcoming meeting dates in 2023 are: 20th of September, 18th of October, 22nd of November and 20th of December. Your availability on these dates is required.

You are invited to send your motivation letter about why you would like to join this group (max 400 words) to marijn.delangen@ahk.nl ultimately on July 7th. Selection will be done by ATD lector Laura Cull, teacher-researcher Marijn de Langen (head of the EKTD research group), and a current member of the EKTD research group. We will take into account in the selection procedure: confirmation of availability on the above mentioned dates, and ensuring a diverse group both in terms of people from different backgrounds and from different educational departments in the ATD.
