Global Jazz Ambassadors of the Berklee College of Music Boston has won the Keep an Eye International Jazz Award 2016. First runner-up was the Jazz Arts Quintet of the Manhattan School of Music.
The jury - formed by Jorge Rossy (drummer, pianist), Anton Goudsmit (guitarist, composer), Fay Claassen (vocalist), Michelle Kuypers (programme manager & talent booker North Sea Jazz Festival/Mojo Concerts), and Jan Jasper Tamboer (jazz journalist Parool and Jazzism, writer) - awarded the first prize, an amount of €2,500 to Global Jazz Ambassadors. First runner-up were Jazz Arts Quintet of the Manhattan School of Music, they won € 1,500.

Best CvA soloist (participarion in the Hudson Jazz Workshop New York 2016): Nick Thessalonikefs (Canvas)
Best non-CvA soloist (participation in the Summer Jazz Workshop Amsterdam): Adrian Moring, MSM Jazz Arts Quintet
The Keep an Eye International Jazz Award is a competition for outstanding young vocalists and instrumentalists from the USA, Europe and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. This year bands from Berklee College of Music, Boston; Accademia Nazionale del Jazz, Siena; Manhattan School of Music, New York, and Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, Barcelona, entered the competition.
