Marios Charalampous Quartet ofthe Conseratorium van Amsterdam has won second prize at the Keep an Eye International Jazz Award final on 20 April in a well-attended Bimhuis. The first prize was awarded toThe Berklee Global Jazz Ambassadors ofBerklee Global Jazz Institute in Boston. The jury, consisting of Ari Hoenig, Matt Penman, Frank van Berkel, Raluca Baicu and Karolina Strassmayer, awarded Marios Charalampous Quartet a prize of € 2000,-.

De Incentive Prizeof € 1000,- went toAnte Medic Octet ofConseratorium van Amsterdam. The prize of € 1000,- for Best ‘New Standards’ Arrangement ws awarded to Eliott Knuets & Noé Sécula of Jazzcampus der Hochschule für Musik FHNW in Basel. Nicholas Ademawon the prize forBest CvA Soloist. Alexandra Ridout of Manhattan School of Music in New Yorkwon the prize for Best Non-CvA Soloist.

The Keep an Eye International Jazz Award is a competition for excellent jazz musicians. This edition featured bands from Manhattan School of Music, New York; Jazzcampus der Hochschule für Musik FHNW, Basel; Royal Academy of Music, London; Berklee Global Jazz Institute, Boston, and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
