Saturday 24 June, Friso van Kuijk has been awarded the Gerda Schunck-Cremers Grant, a grant for Dutch students at the Sweelinck Academy who play an orchestra instrument. He played flute in a trio by Haydn for flute, cello and piano, with Concertgebouw Orchestra cellist Honorine Schaeffer. Friso is 17 and is studying flute in the Sweelinck Academy with Kersten McCall. The grant consists of the tuition fee for one year and a maximum of five lessons with a musician of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
