In the coming months, we’ll be holding auditions again in several Dutch cities, and actively scouting abroad as well. So if you’d like to come and train at the Dutch National Ballet Academy, or you know someone who’d like to, then apply for one of our auditions or tell people about them!
In the first months of 2024, pupils in primary school groups 6 and 7 can audition for NBA 1 or 2 in Amsterdam, Helmond, Apeldoorn and Utrecht. We’ll also be holding auditions in our new building for children aged 12 – 16 and for future Bachelor’s students (unfortunately, applications for both are now closed). We will, however, still be scouting at the Youth America Grand Prix-semi-finals in Barcelona, from 6 to 10 December, at the D&D Masterclasses in South Korea and Japan, in January, at the Prix de Lausanne, in February, at the Youth America Grand Prix final in New York, in April, and at the International Talent Award competition in Italy, in April.
For the youngest of all
For the very youngest dancers (now in primary school groups 4 and 5), auditions will be held in Amsterdam and Groningen in June for the Pre-NBA. Children who are accepted will take various classes on Saturdays (and for Pre-NBA 2 also on Wednesdays), acquainting them with the Dutch National Ballet Academy in a playful and relaxed way.
