The International Society of Jazz Arrangers and Composers (ISJAC) has awarded the SONIC Award for Best Arrangement to alumnus Damiano Pascarelli. Damiano will receive the award during the closing ceremony of the ISJAC symposium in May 2024.

Damiano has been awarded the prize for his arrangement of Ornette’s Clockwork, an original composition by Dutch pianist Jeroen van Vliet that Damiano arranged for a series of concerts that the Metropole Orkest and Jeroen gave in March/April 2022.

Damiano studied Jazz Arranging and Jazz Music Theory at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, graduating from the master's degree programme in Jazz Arranging in 2020.
