Ways of Knowing is a spin-off of Artist in Residence (AIR) Vyjayanthi Rao's work at the Reinwardt Academy in 2019. How can a combination of anthropology, art, heritage and design help us better understand everyday life in the city? Both doers and thinkers have considered this question and described their findings in this handbook. Each article takes you through a different view of the city and urbanity, with a sense of historical sensitivity and social engagement. The motto is: look carefully, in different ways, with all your senses.
