Annet Lekkerkerker
Annet Lekkerkerker (The Hague, 1965) has chaired the Executive Board of the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) since 1 March 2023. From 2019 to 2023, she was vice-chair. She manages, among other things, the portfolios of education, student affairs, internationalisation, personnel policy, diversity and social safety.
Before joining the AHK's Executive Board, Annet was associated with the Holland Festival from 2009 until the June 2019 edition, first as managing director and from 2018 as general director. At the Holland Festival, she was ultimately responsible for the general and artistic policy, the finances, external relations, sponsorship recruitment and fundraising, and she was charged with the day-to-day running of the organisation. Before that, Annet Lekkerkerker held prominent positions in the cultural sector. Among other things, she was head of programming at Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, programme maker at Theater De Balie and managing director of ZT Hollandia/Theatergroep Hollandia.
In addition to her position as chair of the Executive Board, Annet Lekkerkerker is chair of the Supervisory Board of Kunstinstituut Melly in Rotterdam, board member of Stichting Rose Stories and board member of the Sikkens Foundation. From April 2022 to September 2023, she was independent chair of the guidance group Culture Cluster Buikslotermeerplein. Until March 2023 she was chair of the ACI (Amsterdamse Overleg Culturele Instellingen). In January 2023, she joined the Committee of Recommendation for the renovation plans of the new Amsterdam Museum.
